We're riding the rail trail from the Cataract to Elora and back. It's about 100 km and if that's a bit too far for you, we have a 50 km route that starts midway on the trail. It takes 5-6 hours to ride the 100 km route and we'll stop in Elora for lunch and to recharge. We'll organize groups according to ability/speed and each group will eat at different times/locations. We plan on having a shuttle with bike rack in case you have to bail during the ride. We planned this ride for the fall so you can enjoy the autumn colours and you'll be in peak riding condition. More details to follow.

UPDATE Oct 12th:

We’re riding from Orton to Elora and back for a 50 km total. We’ll eat lunch in Elora.

Due to low enrollment, we're cancelling the 100 km option. Maps and trip info will be emailed to all registrants.

Ride departs at 10 am in Orton at the rail trail parking lot.

People will ride at their own pace, and the group may get broken up along the way. We plan to eat separately in Elora at one of the restaurants - probably the Riverside. No reservations have been made.

You will need to bring an Elora-Cataract trail map or you’ll get lost when the trail stops in Fergus. We'll email this to the registrants.

Bring lots of water / gels / bike lock / bike bell – lots of hikers on the trail this time of year.
